Skin Care Product
Besides the most important of my skin products – the cleansers, moisturizers, and toners, I make sure to keep around an ample supply of my favorite skin care product for any unforeseen situations or skin conditions. Some of these products are more than just emergency solutions. I use my sunblock on a daily basis and apply various creams throughout the week to great effect.
Creams
I recommend that all women have at least one or two anti-oxidant creams on hand. I tend to get many of my anti-oxidants with herbal supplements, but the immediate effect a quality cream can have is well worth their additional use. I have seen any number of different kinds of creams on the skin care product market. Personally, I am a fan of the Vitamin C skin care product I’ve always used, as it is, in my opinion, the best at fighting free radicals. However, your choices will range from Vitamin A, C, and E to various extracts such as Mushroom, Herbals, Soy, Green Tea and many more.
Lotion
Cream does not always fit my skin, especially in the summer months when it is prone to drying up quickly and applying too thickly. Lotions are ideal because they can be used anywhere on the body and offer many more options. Of all the skin care product variations, lotions are among the most versatile. As I mentioned, I use a 15 SPF sun screen every day. However, other lotions provide much different results. Some of the common extracts and ingredients I have recommended for different kinds of skin include:
-
Ginseng
-
Grape See Extract
-
Ashwagandha
-
CoEnzyme Q10
-
Alpha Hydroxy Acids
Capsules and Droplets
It is a hair extreme, but the option to use a dropper or sealed capsules has become quite popular in recent years. In the past, I have witnessed women with chronic acne problems. They ate healthily and followed a very strict daily skin regiment. Their skin care product was effective for other women and so I recommended the use of capsules instead. Often, creams and lotions can pick up an carry bacteria from the fingers, contaminating an entire bottle or jar. Capsules ensure the right amount of skin care product is used and that it does not come in contact with any bacteria or dirt.
Peels and Masks
If you have ever been treated to an afternoon in a spa, you know how wonderful a peel or mask can be, both in relaxing your skin and in making it look years younger. I was thrilled when facial products with minerals and herbal extracts began making their way into the home skin care product market so I could experience the same results at home. Masks are a great way to remove dirt and dead cells and to ultimately tighten your skin and close your pores against future clogging. They are a slightly more rare option than your lotions, but they can offer incredible results. Skin care product lines come in all shapes and sizes. I have been using all of the above kinds of products for years and though some are more effective than others, each has its place and time in stripping away years from my skin.
